San Antonio College Methodist Student Center
presents Interfaith Faith Dialogue Series

The Methodist Student Center at San Antonio College will present an Interfaith Dialogue Series starting Oct. 9. The series will be held for the next three Tuesdays from 12-1:30 p.m. and is part of an effort to bring understanding of other faiths in the wake of the recent terrorist events.

“Research has always shown that more information and more knowledge brings more tolerance, acceptance, and understanding to those around us,” said Dr. David Semrad, director of the Methodist Student Center.

The series presentations are:

Oct. 9 “Understanding Islamic Faith & Practice,” presented by Ali M. Sadri in the Methodist Student Center (corner of W. Dewey and Belknap)

Oct. 16 “Understanding Judaic Faith & Practice,” presented by Barbie Gorelick in the Methodist Student Center (corner of W. Dewey & Belknap)

Oct. 23 “Tri-Faith Dialogue: Muslim, Jewish, and Christian,” a panel discussion with presenters Ali M. Sadri, Barbie Gorelick, and Martin Martinez, will be held in the Fiesta Room in the Loftin Student Center.

Sadri and Gorelick are members of the Interreligious Council. Gorelick is also the Education Director at Congregation Beth Am. Martinez is director of SAC’s Catholic Student Center.
