Northeast Campus to Hold Grand Opening
 
The public is invited to attend the Grand Opening of the new Northeast Campus on Tuesday, September 25, 10:30 a.m. A collaboration of St. Philip’s College and San Antonio College, colleges of the Alamo Community College District, the Northeast Campus is located at 7990 Pat Booker Rd.

Following an outdoor reception and comments by college, district, and community officials, there will be a tour of the buildings. Parking will be available in the Live Oak Civic Center parking lot, and buses will shuttle people across Pat Booker Rd. to the ceremony at Northeast Campus.

Officials who will participate in the Grand Opening ceremony include: Representatives Judith Zaffirini and Elizabeth Ames Jones, representatives of Live Oak and the Randolph Metrocom Chamber of Commerce, ACCD Chairman of the Board of Trustees Donald McClure, Chancellor Robert Ramsay, St. Philip’s College President Angie Runnels, San Antonio College President Vern Loland, and Northeast Campus Director Debbie Hamilton.

The Northeast Campus first opened to students in January 2001 for Spring Semester classes, after renovation of one building. Now with the completion of the second, larger building the campus has enrolled about 1200 students for Fall 2001 Semester classes.
