New Carpool Matching Service Begins
at SAC

| Beginning this fall, San Antonio College is offering a new Carpool Matching
Service for students. "Our goal with this program is to help improve the crowded parking situation and also to help the city reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere," said President Robert Zeigler. A Carpool Matching web site has been established at www.accd.edu/sac/carpool/, which enables students to sign up and find a match with someone who travels to the campus by a similar route and would like to carpool. Parking places specially reserved for carpoolers are located in Lot #16 on the east side of the Moody Learning Center. In addition to having a reserved parking space, students in the program should save money on gas and can carpool whenever it fits their schedule. A minimum of two interested carpoolers can sign up for the $10 permit available at the Business Office in the Fletcher Administration Center, then pick up their permit at the Department of Public Safety. Students may also decide to purchase the regular $10 parking permit to use on days when they may be driving to campus alone.
