Public Is Invited to SAC 'Poets in
the Night' Series

| The San Antonio College Cyberspace Poetry Society will present Poets in
the Night, a series of poetry readings by faculty, students and staff on
October 21-23, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Visual Arts & Technologies Center,
room 120. This free event is open to the public. "This is an opportunity for recognized poets to participate side by side with new student poets," said English Associate Professor James Rossignol, who helped found the first Poets in the Night event in 1992. The following poets are scheduled, including readings of poetry in various languages on Wednesday: Monday, October 21: Marisol LaSelva, Liz Ann Aguilar, Joachin Abrego, Mark Flatt, Mitzi Brandon, Ginger Payne, Gary Partridge, Jane Focht-Hansen, and guest reader Margie Roe. Tuesday, October 22: Mike Burton, Rohn Bayes, Jose Ramirez, Nisha Mackenzie, Ioannis Vassiliou, D.F. Poston, Tanya Schwertlech, Martha Buchanan, and guest reader Carol Coffee Reposa. Wednesday, October 23: Ioannis Vasiliou (Greek), Julio Veliz (Spanish), Cem Sahin (Turkish or Kurdish), Nora Olivares (Gaelic and Irish themes), James Rossignol (French), Amanda Wharburton (French), Anna Marie Gomez (Spanish), and Olga C.
