SAC International Student Expo to
Showcase World's Cultures

| WHAT: * The San Antonio College International Student Association will hold an International Spring Exposition, EXPO 2003, to showcase the many countries the students represent. * Countries represented will include: Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Mexico, Russia, India, Sri Lanka, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, and possibly others. * Exhibits will include traditional clothing, flags, currency, jewelry, music, videos, books, and artifacts. Samples of candies and food from the countries also will be available. * 279 international students are enrolled at San Antonio College this semester: 40 Koreans, 36 Japanese, 34 Mexicans, 17 Colombians, 14 from Turkey, 13 Chinese, and 11 Brazilians. WHEN/WHERE: * Thursday, April 10, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. * Loftin Student Center, Fiesta Room * At 12 noon: Students will perform flamenco, tango, and other dances.CONTACT: For more information, contact Henry Velasquez, Coordinator of International Students, or Dolores Ramirez, Assistant to the Coordinator, at 733-2306.EDITORS' NOTE: People will be available at the event to conduct interviews in Spanish. |
