The 50th Anniversary of the United Methodist Student Center at San Antonio College and the 25th Anniversary of Dr. David Semrad's ministry as Director will be celebrated at a banquet on Saturday, January 25, 7 p.m., at the San Antonio College Fiesta Room, Loftin Student Center, following a tour of the Methodist Student Center (Dewey and Belknap).

Under Semrad's leadership, the United Methodist Student Center has served as a focal point for community inter-faith discussions at the San Antonio College campus and has sponsored mission and service learning projects for students over the years.

Semrad has also served as founding Board Chair of the San Antonio College Women's Center, helped initiate the Business Ethics education with UTSA's College of Business, helped establish and chaired the Southwest Texas Conference Russia Initiative, and was a Founding Board member of the San Antonio Education Partnership.
