SAC to Offer All-State Music Clinic for High School Band Students

The San Antonio College Music and Humanities Department will offer a free All-State Music Clinic for high school band students on Saturday, November 1, 9:15 a.m.-noon at McAllister Fine Arts Center.

"During this clinic, the music used for TMEA 4A and 5A District, Region and All-State Band auditions will be rehearsed in master-class format by our faculty," said Dr. Jessica Howard, Chairperson, Music and Humanities Department.

Howard said the clinic will be divided into six rooms and will focus exclusively on audition music for the following instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, tenor trombone, bass trombone, and euphonium.

"Students should bring their own music and be prepared to rehearse with San Antonio College music faculty," said Howard.

Students should meet in the office of the Music Department, McAllister Fine Arts Center, at San Pedro Ave. and W. Courtland St., across from McFarlin Tennis Center.

For more information, contact Howard at 733-2731 or jhoward@accd.edu.
