"Share Your Hair" at SAC
|
| The public is invited to help children who suffer from permanent hair
loss by donating their own hair in a "Share Your Hair" event at
San Antonio College on Monday, March 10, 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon, in the Loftin
Student Center, co-sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa student honors society and
K. Charles Salon. Donors must have a minimum of 10" (one-length) of healthy hair they are willing to donate to the Locks of Love Foundation. The K. Charles Salon will offer free haircuts and styling for this cause. Those wishing to offer their support for donors are also invited to attend. The Locks of Love Foundation provides wigs for children who suffer from a permanent loss of hair due to severe burns or a condition known as Alopecia Areata. People who are interested in donating their hair should contact Dr. Teanna Staggs at 733-2697 or tstaggs@accd.edu. Appointments are preferred but not mandatory. |
