The community is invited to a meeting on August 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bazan Branch Library, 2200 W. Commerce St., to discuss a new San Antonio College Family Learning Academy for parents and students at Lanier High School and its feeder schools.

The purpose of the academy is to decrease drop-outs and increase the number of students who go on to college. Everyone who is interested is welcome. For more information, call Oscar C. San Miguel at 733-2496.
