The public is invited to help children who suffer
from permanent hair loss by donating their own hair in a "Dare
to Cut Your Hair" event at San Antonio College on Monday, March
8, 9-11:30 a.m. and 12-2 p.m. in the Loftin Student Center Fiesta
Room. The event is co-sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa student honors
society and K. Charles & Co. Salon.
Donors must have a minimum of 10" (one-length) of healthy hair
they are willing to donate to the Locks of Love Foundation. The
K. Charles & Co. Salon will offer free haircuts and styling
for this cause, on a first-come, first-served basis. Those wishing
to offer their support for donors are also invited to attend.
The Locks of Love Foundation provides wigs for children who suffer
from a permanent loss of hair due to severe burns or a condition
known as Alopecia Areata.
