San Antonio College's Basic Skills Enrichment Program will offer study skills workshops on Overcoming Math Fear and Failure. Students may choose from either a one-day workshop on March 27, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (with a break for lunch) or a four-day workshop on March 30, April 1, 6, and 8, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The non-credit workshops are intended for people who wish to return to college but are afraid to because of their fear of math, according to Coordinator Betty Lee Birdsall.

Workshop topics will include: Effective Study Skills, Solving Word Problems, Seven Steps to Math Note-Taking, Math Test Preparation, and High School vs. College Math Courses.
