San Antonio College will host the 3rd Annual Technology
Expo 2004 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, in the Candler
Physical Education Center featuring the theme "Discover Your
Future in Technology."
The free exposition will feature exhibits, presentations, and hands-on
demonstrations of technologies from a wide variety of fields represented
in the colleges of the Alamo Community College District. Dell Computer
Corporation and the Alamo Tech Prep Consortium, with Carl Perkins
funds, are sponsors.
"This will be an exciting event for professionals, enthusiasts,
students, or anyone with a curiosity about what technology can do
for them," said Dr. Charlotte Wolf, director of SAC's Instructional
Technology Center and coordinator of the Tech Expo. "It will
be an educational and fun-filled time of experiencing future technology."
San Antonio College, St. Philip's College, Palo Alto College, and
Northwest Vista College will feature technologies utilized in many
of their technical programs.
Some of the programs to be represented are Aviation, Automotive
Technology, Allied Construction, Biotech & Pharmacy, Aerospace/ITS/Manufacturing
Academy, Radio/TV/Film, Engineering, Protective Services, Transportation,
Nursing, Drafting & Design, Water Treatment, Gerontology, CISCO,
Veterinarian Technology, Child Development, Tourism, Hospitality,
Culinary Arts, Signing Language, Agribusiness, Horticulture, Turf
& Golf Management.
