Paintings by Miki Lee will be on display at the San Antonio College Visual Arts and Technology (VATC) Center Gallery (corner of Lewis and Dewey streets) Sept. 19 - Oct. 28. On Thursday, Oct. 6, at 5:30 p.m., Lee will give a lecture on the exhibit in the VATC Room 120, followed by a reception at 6:30 p.m. These events are free and open to the public.
A native of Korea, Lee completed her BFA degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her MFA degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has exhibited widely throughout the United States and has received critical attention in national art publications.
"It is unexpected and wonderful that an artistic practice that is based on limitations and repetition can produce works as individual and varied as Lee's," said art critic Melissa Kuntz in Art in America.
