PROGRAM DETAILS
WHAT
San Antonio College offers the six-week Senior Summer Program to help high school graduates and recent GED completers transition into college. Utilizing curriculum geared to the First Time In College student, participants may enroll in and complete up to seven college credit hours. Classes meet on the SAC campus.
While most students will enroll in developmental classes (English and math) to prepare them for the college-level courses, college-credit academic foundation courses offered include: English 1301 (Composition I), History 1301, Math 1314 (College Algebra) and Sociology 1301. Last year some 250 students participated with an almost 100% completion rate.
Financial Aid is available.
To help offset tuition costs, which can average up to $475 before books, the Alamo Community Colleges offer alternative funding on a first-come, first-served basis, provided that students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) 2006-2007 forms by May 4, 2007.
WHEN
