Gary Fox, Chairman of Protective Services
Fire Science Program Director
Gary Fox comes to our program from the Balcones Heights Fire Department where he spent 28 years as a captain before retiring. As a lifelong San Antonio resident, he brings a wealth of knowledge, skills and respectability to the offerings presented through our academy. He earned his AAS here at San Antonio College and completed his BSOE at Wayland Baptist University. He is right at home teaching the certification skills in Fire Fighting and is also certified in Arson Investigation. Gary is a board member of IFSAC.
