The
process of inspecting the results of an employee's
efforts is a critical operational function. Inspections
must be thorough, consistent, and performed regularly.
The inspection process can be used to correct deficiencies
and reward good performance. It can also be used for
motivational purposes in making improvements and setting
high standards for competition between both employees
and different worksites.
