The new San Antonio College Radio-TV-Film building is in its final preparations and is being fine tuned. The new two-story building is approximately 30,000 square feet and includes the following facilities:

- Multi-Track Recording Studio (Pro Tools LE with Control|24)
- 5 Audio Edit Suites (Pro Tools)
- 5 Video Edit Suites (AVID Express Pro)
- A/V Lecture / Presentation Room
- A/V Conference Room
- News Lab
- Video Lab (AVID Express Pro)
- 2 Audio Labs (Pro Tools)
- Computer Writing Lab
- Copy Writing / Advertising Classroom
- KSYM Radio Station (Studio, 2 Production Rooms, Performance Room, Lounge)
- Student Lounge
- Outdoor Work Area
Video Editing
We currently have five AVID Express Pro video editing systems available to Video Field Production students, Film Production students and Portfolio students.
KSYM Broadcast Booth
The KSYM broadcast booth is fully outfitted with professional equipment. The heart of this studio is the Master Control broadcast automation/assist server. This facility makes it possible for our students to get real world on-air experience.
Television Control Room
The television control room features the Trinity digital switcher and graphic generator as well as SuperVHS and MiniDV playback and recording. A Mackie Pro 32 x 8 Bus Series mixing console is used for audio mixing.
Audio Editing
We currently have five audio editing suites fitted-out with ProTools LE systems running the M-Box hardware on Windows XP Pro. These edit suites are used by Audio/Radio Production I and Portfolio students.
Multi-Track Audio
Our Audio/Radio Production III students have access to our multi-track audio editing facility. The studio is equipped with a Windows XP Pro based system running the Pro Tools TDM professional digital audio workstation on a Contol|24 control surface. This room is also outfitted with various outboard devices and an ADAT digital recorder.
