Radio, Television and Film Hall

 


The new 30,000 square foot Jean Longwith Radio, Television and Film Building includes a multi-track recording studio (with Pro Tools TDM with Control 24), individual postproduction suites (with Pro Tools LE and Avid Express DV), KSYM-FM radio station (with a studio, production rooms, and performance studio), news lab (with CNN News Source in the Classroom), two television studios, a video lab, two audio labs, a computer writing lab, a copy writing and advertising classroom, and a lecture/presentation theatre.  Indoor and outdoor common areas for students are also included.
  
The late Jean Longwith, Professor Emeritus, helped establish the Radio, Television and Film program during her career at San Antonio College from 1964 to 1983.  She initiated, designed and developed the curriculum and served as the general manager for the college radio station KSYM 90.1 FM, the first community college radio station in Texas.
