Biographical Information
Welcome to San Antonio and San Antonio College. I am J. Martin Ortega, Director of Admissions and Records at San Antonio College a college of the Alamo Community Colleges. The department of Admissions and Records includes several offices at San Antonio College. Admissions and Records proudly staffs the Information Center (FAC 200), the Web Center (FAC 208), the Residency and Reports office (FAC 214) and the Admissions office (FAC 216). We strive to facilitate student’s admission, registration and attainment of educational goals. We work towards this goal by providing direct and indirect services to students, academic departments and other departments providing students services.
I graduated from McCollum High School in 1992. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1996 from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. I returned to OLLU to earn a Master of Arts in Human Sciences with concentrations in Psychology and Education in 2000. I have worked for the Alamo Community Colleges since October 1999. I’ve held my current position since April of 2007. I have a sincere appreciation for the privilege I have to serve my community in the capacity of higher education. Learning is a lifelong journey that everyone has a right to take.
