The student body is composed of all students at San Antonio College and is served by the Representative Commission. This Commission provides direct student advisory input into areas of the college which are of concern to students. Four students, one faculty member and one administrator serve on the following commissions:

  • Instruction and Curriculum
  • Student Services
  • Campus Operations
  • Student Activities
  • Public Relations
  • Student Publications

The Chairperson of each commission, the College President, and the Faculty Senate President are members of the Commission Council. Student commissioners generally carry 12 semester hours at all times, must maintain a 2.25 grade point average, and have the endorsement of 50 students. In addition, the commissioners carrying 6 to 11 hours must have completed 18 semester hours at SAC. The president and secretary must have the endorsement of 100 students. All members of the Student Representative Commission must be in good standing with the College. More information and applications may be picked up at the Student Activities Office, located in the Loftin Student Center.
