Frequently Asked QuestionsHOW DO I QUALIFY FOR SSSP SERVICES? You must meet one or more of the following criteria: First generation student — neither parent graduated from a four-year university/college. Documented disability — documentation of a disability (learning or physical) is on file with the office of disAbility Support Services (dSS). Meet income guidelines established by the federal government (these are listed on the application). Meet with a SSSP counselor for an assessment interview to determine need and acceptance into the SSSP program. HOW DO I SIGN UP? Applications may be completed at our office located in the Moody Learning Center, Room 742. At the time that your application is submitted, you will be contacted for a future appointment with a counselor.. DO THE SERVICES COST ANYTHING? All of our services are at no charge to the student, but you must meet one or more criteria established by the federal government to receive services. WHERE IS YOUR OFFICE LOCATED? Our offices are located on the 7th floor (rooms 741-742) of the Moody Learning Center (MLC). Our auxiliary disability student services office is located on the 1st floor (room 124) of the Chance Academic Center (disAbility Support Services). IS THERE A WAITING LIST? Because we are designed to serve 400 students, we are only able to admit new students once active members have graduated or transferred. Therefore, at times there is a waiting list.
