The goal of the Decision Support System for SAC is to provide effective integrated enrollment, assessment, admissions, counseling, financial-aid, demographics, socio-economic and academic progress information about students within one system accessible to staff and faculty. The development of the system is under the administration of Activity II Director Pearl English and Activity II Coordinator Troy Touchette.

The creation of this truly student-centered environment will assist in making sound decisions about solutions to student's problems. The Decision Support System will have the capacity to produce reports on retention, persistence, and academic progress related to specific populations, courses, or interventions. The information obtained from this system will make the process of enrollment at SAC easier for the student and enable administrators and staff to identify students at risk for failure and allow for timely intervention where appropriate.
