Catalog Description:
A studio course (3 semester hours credit; 2 hours of lecture and
4 hours of studio work per week.) Mastery of the tools and transformation
options of an industry standard drawing program to create complex
illustrations. Includes principles of layout and design, and manipulation
of text and graphics. Students will receive hands-on training with
basic drawing/painting, manipulating and creating vector based graphics
and illustrations. There will be an introduction to various methods
of reproduction in print and electronic graphics. |

A studio course (3-2-4)*on the survey on the evolution of graphic
arts as it related to the history of art. Topics include formal,
stylistic, social, political, economic, and historical aspects. Emphasis

as they interrelate with graphic art. Historical topics are applied
to illustration, graphic design, typography, photography, print media

Catalog Description:
A studio course. 20 hours per week complemented by 1 hour of classroom
lecture per week. Career-related activities encountered in the student’s
graphic arts area of specialization are offered through a cooperative
agreement between the college and the employer, and the student.
Under supervision of the college and the employer, the student combines
classroom learning with work experience. Directly related to a technical
discipline, specific learning objectives guide the student through
the paid (or unpaid) work experience. This course may be repeated
if topics and learning outcomes vary. May be repeated for three additional
credit hours. Student must complete 280 hours to complete course. |
