“Public Art: Is Anybody Looking?”
is the theme for the 2004 TASA conference.

The host committee, Carey Rote, Mark Anderson, Louis Katz, and Jayne Duryea, are planning a full schedule of activities for participants. These will include the Hannah lecture and the Art History presentations, demonstrations and tours of Texas A&M at Corpus Christi, Del Mar College, and Coastal Bend College, a reception at the Art Museum of South Texas, and a visit to the studio of artist, Jesus Moroles.

Highlights will include a South Texas barbeque arranged by Jayne Duryea at a Beeville ranch, and seeing the new public sculpture at Texas A&M Corpus Christi by Philadelphia artist, Robert Roesch—the biggest sculpture in Texas (and the best!). Look forward to all this, and walks along the beach, and a pool or boat party. Begin to make your plans now, and be sure to remind your friends and colleagues.
