The following addresses some frequently asked questions regarding Allied
Health program information, application process, advisement, enrollment, and
other related topics.
Programs
- What Allied Health programs are available at St. Philip's College?
The Allied Health Department offers various Associate Degree,
Certificate of Completion, and Enhanced Skills programs. Students may refer
to the Allied Health Programs
page for further information.
- Are the Allied Health programs affiliated with local facilities?
Each Allied Health program has Memorandum of Agreements in place with
several local facilities.
- What transportation responsibilities will students have?
All Allied Health students are responsible for transportation to classes
and clinical sites.
- Are there any Allied Health programs or courses offered at night
weekends, or distance learning?
Most Allied Health programs and classes are offered during the day.
However, some courses within various programs are offered during evening,
weekend, and distance learning. Students should contact individual program
faculty for available options.
Application Process
- Do I have to apply for admission to all Allied Health programs?
Yes. A separate application MUST be submitted for consideration
for admission to any Allied Health program. Students may refer to the

- What should I include in the one-page narrative required for application?
The one-page narrative for the Allied Health application packet may
include your reasons for applying for this program, interest in the
profession, hobbies, family information, or any other items that will
provide information for the reviewers about yourself.
- What immunizations or tests are required for clinical assignments?
All students accepted into an Allied Health program MUST present
evidence of having met immunization requirements as part of the application
process and before student is allowed to being any clinical assignment.

Advisement & Enrollment Process
- Who can I contact for advisement of an Allied Health program?
New students interested in any Allied Health program may contact the Allied
Health Advisor-in-Residence for assistance regarding program information,
prerequisites, application procedures, enrollment procedures, etc. Contact
