Program Accreditation & Licensure
The Medical Laboratory Technician Program is an integrated curriculum which
leads to an Associate's of Applied Science Degree. The curriculum includes
courses in clinical hematology, immunology, immunohematology, clinical
microbiology, and clinical chemistry. Clinical experiences are provided in area
hospitals and clinics. After completing the required academic and medical
laboratory courses, you will receive an Associate of Applied Science degree and
will be eligible for any of the national certification examinations administered
by the various accrediting agencies (American Society for Clinical Pathologists,
American Society of Medical Technologists...).
At this time, the state of Texas does not require any type of licensing
examination for medical laboratory technicians; however, completion of this
program will allow you to take the licensing examinations in other states.

Phlebotomy training.
