Admission & Prerequisite Requirements

Students desiring to major in Respiratory Care Technology must meet all admission requirements for acceptance into St. Philip's College and the Allied Health Department. These requirements include the following:

• SPC Admissions 
• Allied Health Admission Requirements 

All students must also meet the following prerequisites:

• ENGL 1301 Freshman Composition I
• MATH 1374 Algebra & Trigonometry or Higher (Math 1314 College Algebra)
• BIOL 2404 Human Anatomy & Physiology I or
• BIOL 2401 & BIOL 2402

Those students desiring to continue their education in a university-based Respiratory Care Program (B.S.) should enroll in Math 1314, Biology 2401, and Biology 2402.

      Tuberculosis (TB) PPD/Tine test, current 
      Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) 
      Hepatitis A series
      Hepatitis B series
      Varicella (chicken pox) 
      Diphtheria, Tetanus within 10 years
      Drug testing
      Background check
      Health Insurance
