The following are some frequently asked questions about the Respiratory Care Technology Program.

 

  • How long is the program? 
    Two years. Program starts in the regular Fall semester (Aug.) and finishes the Summer
    (Aug.) two years later.

 

  • Are classes available on weekend or evenings? 
    No. The program is only offered during the week and during day time hours.

 

  • What is the deadline for applications? 
    The last day of March each year for that fall admission.

 

  • What is the cost of the program? 
    Approximately $4000 ($450 - $500 per semester). Textbooks are purchased at
    the beginning of the program and used throughout the year.

 

  • What is the entry level pay for a Respiratory Care Practitioner? 
    Approximately approximately $2500/month for CRT's, $3000 for RRT's. Hospitals are competitive with pay, benefits, and other incentives for employees. The Bureau of Labor Statistics www.bls.gov lists the mean annual income for respiratory therapists at $46,270.00.
