Learn these skills in Business Information Solutions (BIS) Computer Science
classes!
After successful completion of required classes, you will earn an
Associate of Arts degree in Computer Science . Specifically designed for
students who wish to obtain a bachelor’s degree, all classes are transferable to
upper-level institutions. Plan to consult with the computer science academic
advisor early in your program to determine transfer plans.
Computer Science classes focus on:
- understanding the problem
- designing a solution
- implementing that solution through programming language
Topics include:
- algorithm development and application
- procedural and object-oriented programming
- computer organization
- data structures
Computer Science labs contain up-to-date computer equipment. Students
complete programming using Java, running on Eclipse, both open source (and
free!)
