Learn these skills in Business Information Solutions (BIS) Computer Science classes!

After successful completion of required classes, you will earn an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Science . Specifically designed for students who wish to obtain a bachelor’s degree, all classes are transferable to upper-level institutions. Plan to consult with the computer science academic advisor early in your program to determine transfer plans.

Computer Science classes focus on:

  • understanding the problem
  • designing a solution
  • implementing that solution through programming language

Topics include:

  • algorithm development and application
  • procedural and object-oriented programming
  • computer organization
  • data structures

Computer Science labs contain up-to-date computer equipment. Students complete programming using Java, running on Eclipse, both open source (and free!)
