Web Developer
Web professionals are needed by business and industry, both large and small, to
develop and maintain corporate Web sites including intranets, extranets, and Internet
web
sites. The Web Developer program will prepare you to enter this exciting field
by teaching you how to design, develop, and maintain Web sites using the latest techniques, technologies
and software tools.
In the Web Developer program you will learn skills in computer programming with
Visual Basic.NET, PHP, and JavaScript.
You will develop web sites using
XHTML, Adobe Dreamweaver, and ASP.NET. Other skills, technologies,
and development tools covered include XML, Flash, Fireworks, Photoshop, database
programming, object-oriented programming, and SQL.
The Web Developer program offers the following degree and certificates.
Most classes are available in both Hybrid and Online formats.
Hybrid classes combine face-to-face classroom
instruction with online learning. Classes meet regularly on campus
but for less time compared to traditional on-campus classes. The rest of the time,
students access the class Web site for assignments, lecture notes,
tutorials, discussions, and exams.
Online classes do not require attending on-campus sessions. Students
access the class Web site for assignments, lecture notes, tutorials,
discussions, and exams. Online Orientation required at beginning of semester.
