Department of Social Sciences

Welcome to the Department of Social Sciences at St. Philip's College. The Social Sciences is the home of several disciplines including: Criminal Justice, Economics, Geography, Government, History, Humanities, Interdisciplinary Studies, Military Science, Pre-Law, Pre-Social Work, and Sociology.

The Social Sciences Department is a comprehensive department which is working to address the social problems of our modern world and community through academics.

Our goal is to provide a quality educational environment, leadership experiences and opportunities for our students, and exposure to campus-wide, district-wide, and community activities. Positive social values are strongly promoted and developed through an academically and culturally enriched environment.

We have designed programs which encourage and challenge our student to excel in critical thought, and theoretical applications to "real world" experiences.
