PROYECTO ALIMENTO
Student Success in Nutrition
Proyecto Alimento, a two-year project, aims to increase the number of
Hispanic students who obtain a degree in Nutrition.
St. Philip's College and the University of Incarnate Word are collaborating to
increase the number of Hispanic students who (1)enroll at SPC as Culinary Arts
majors, (2)are retained from one year to the next, and (3)transfer to UIW where
they will complete a degree in Nutrition.
Nutritionists are prepared to work in areas such as medical nutrition therapy,
community nutrition, food service management, or for the USDA FNS Division.
