Teacher Certification Center Program Costs and Tuition

Tuition includes Content and PPR classes, lab fees, handouts, publications, study materials, and a mentor. A payment installment plan is available per class (includes 3 payment deadline dates made over the duration of the semester). The costs listed below include a $500 internship fee. Tuition for dual-certification programs:

  • $5,000.00 - Dual Certification

Installment Plan Options:

Option 1 - Eight (8) month plan

  • $625 down + $100 fees + $25 finance fee = $750 - due on or before the first day of class
  • Seven (7) monthly payments of $625 + $25 finance fee = $650 - due 1st of each month, February - August
  • Total finance fees =$200

Option 2 - Three (3) month plan

  • $1, 667 down + $100 fees + $25 finance fee = $1,792 - due on or before the first day of class
  • Two (2) payments of $1,667 + $25 finance fee = $1,692 - due March 1st and June 1st
  • Total finance fees = $75

Option 3 - Full payment plan

  • $5,000 + $100 fees = $5,100 - due on or before the first day of class
  • No finance fees

Additional Program Costs (not included in tuition)

  • Alamo Colleges Parking Permit - $21.00 per year
  • PPR Coursework Textbooks - $200.00 (approximately)
  • Content Coursework Textbooks - $200.00 (approximately)
  • Probationary Teacher Certificate Fee - $52.00
  • National Background and Criminal History Check - $47.00
  • Professional Fingerprint Service - $56.95
  • TExES Exam for Content - $120.00
  • TExES Exam for PPR - $120.00
  • Standard Teacher Certificate Fee - $77.00
  • Additional Study Guides (strongly recommended) - $30.00+
