Internet Courses

Do you…

  • Work during the day?
  • Need a flexible learning schedule?
  • Want to learn at your own pace?
  • Need a class that meets at a time and location that is convenient to you?
  • Want to save money on time and travel?

Internet classes may work for you!

Internet courses equal on-campus courses, and

  • use the same course content and materials
  • test to the same exams
  • require the same papers and work to be completed
  • many have the same instructors as in-class sessions have

How does it work?

  • For online learning, you must own a computer (with access to the internet) or have access to one.
  • You must be comfortable using your computer.
  • You can complete most of the online classes at your convenience. Most online classes require 4-6 hours per course per week.
  • Learning is self-paced. For most learners, this reduces stress and increases satisfaction.
  • A college faculty member is assigned to guide you throughout the semester.

Internet classes are not for everyone.

  • Online classes require a high level of self-motivation and self-discipline.
  • Online classes require the ability to read and write independently. Most course information is presented in written and/or video form.

We have a tool to help you decide if you are ready for online courses. Complete the READI survey.
