PALS

(Personal Access to Learning and Services) is a secure site connecting ACCD faculty, staff, and students. Through PALS, you can register for your courses, check on grades, access course information, communicate via chat, bulletin board, or email, and collaborate using the group feature.

Blackboard Vista

Many of St. Philip’s distance learning utilize BLACKBOARD VISTA, a set of computer tools that deliver instructional materials in a secure, web-based environment. Instructors use Blackboard Vista to present course content, quizzing, and grade information to their students. Instructor may also use Blackboard Vista’s live discussion group features. Not every Distance Learning course uses Blackboard.

SmartThinking

SMARTHINKING is an online tutoring service. Students connect to live tutors from any computer that has Internet access. SMARTHINKING is a virtual learning assistance center, providing online tutoring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. SMARTTHINKING also has an online writing lab where certified tutors analyze and return essays within 24 hours.
