Video Conferencing
Imagine taking a college course where the class is in two locations!
This is education through Video Conferencing—live, two-way, interactive communication. The instructor and the students, even though they are in different geographic locations, engage in face-to-face communication using cameras and large screen monitors.
Students at off-campus video sites hear and see the same instruction as students attending on-campus. Students at the video sites have the ability to ask questions and interact with the instructor and on-campus students. A facilitator assists at all video conferencing sites. The facilitator assists and monitors the learning experience for the students.
Dual credit classes are often presented through video conferencing. Dual credit classes, available to high school juniors and seniors in selected locations, make it possible to:
- Get an early college start
- Satisfy high school curriculum
- Earn college credit before graduating
- Experience the college atmosphere
- Complete your degree in less time
- Take college courses for free!!!
St. Philip’s College currently provides Dual Credit video conference classes for selected high schools in the local area.
