HOT! Military Spouse Education Funding
Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) provides up to $6000 of financial assistance for eligible spouses directly to participating schools or other programs. MyCAA financial assistance will pay for expenses such as post-secondary education and training tuition, licensing and credentialing fees. For more information vist our MyCAA page.
HOT! General Education Mobile (GEM)
GEM is a new distance learning initiative between the Community College of the Air Force and local and private colleges. This program is for Active Duty Air Force members. The goal of this is to increase CCAF completions by having the colleges offer distance learning courses approved to meet CCAF requirements. Active Duty Air Force members will be able to access GEM information from inside the Air Force Portal. St. Philip's College will soon participate. See our GEM page.
Alamo Colleges CCAF Graduate Scholarship
For Active Duty, Reserve or National Guard members who are graduating from the Community College of the Air Force through Lackland AFB. This scholarship is for students wishing to continue their higher education goals at the Alamo Community Colleges beyond CCAF completion. Three $250.00 awards will be granted to Lackland AFB CCAF graduates. Interested applicants should submit their scholarship packets by October 23rd, 2009. FREE 24 Hour On-line Tutoring
St. Philip's College now offers free 24 hour on-line tutoring for currently registered students. This free service may be accessed by logging on to your student PALS account. Under the "My Courses" tab on the left side of the screen, click on SMARThinking -Online Tutoring. Go to my PALS Logon.
