Blackboard Vista / TEDL

The Blackboard Vista/Teaching Excellence in Distance Learning (TEDL)Certification program provides participants an overview of the application and usability of Blackboard Vista as a course management system. Participants are given an opportunity to explore the various tools to design and manage an effective online course.

Program Highlights
The Blackboard Vista/TEDL Certification program is divided into two tracks.

  • The Fast-Track training is for faculty who are already certified in distance learning. The Fast-Track training program runs in an Open-Exit format enabling faculty to complete the program in 3-6 weeks.
  • The Full-Track training is for faculty new to distance learning. The Full-Track training program runs 6-7 weeks and includes a Course Readiness Review session at the end of the program. The training program is fully online with help sessions and one-on-one consultations available throughout the training period.

A Blackboard Vista course shell is created for each participant and is used to upload course content. Orientation sessions are held the week before the training begins each semester.
