Computer Lab Technician at Southwest Campus enjoys job variety, responsibilities

SAN ANTONIO (April 8, 2009) --- Computer Lab Technician 1 David Gomez (holding plaque at center) is The Alamo Colleges -- St. Philip’s College Employee of the Month for March 2009. Gomez works at the Southwest Campus and was recognized by during a recent council meeting held by St. Philip’s College President Dr. Adena Williams Loston (left) and Staff Council President Andrew Lamza (right), and supported by Information Technology colleagues (see separate image). “It was a pleasant surprise,” said Gomez. “A lot of people don’t know I have several responsibilities, maintaining lab equipment, manning the open computer lab for our students and on occasion doing service requests for our faculty and staff,” Gomez said. “I like it here. It’s small, and everybody knows each other,” said Gomez.
