College presents honorary degree to Ruth Jones McClendon, Texas State Representative, District 120
SAN ANTONIO (May 1, 2009) --- The Alamo Colleges --- The Alamo Colleges --- St. Philip’s College spring 2009 graduation ceremony at Municipal Auditorium featured an honorary degree presentation followed by an evening of tribute to more than 375 students who walked the stage to accept their diplomas.
The ceremony was hosted by Alamo Colleges --- St. Philip’s College President Dr. Adena Williams Loston and attended by Alamo Colleges Chancellor Dr. Bruce H. Leslie. The College presented an honorary degree to Ruth Jones McClendon, Texas State Representative, District 120. Ruth Jones McClendon also served as the guest speaker during the college’s 121st commencement program.
