APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Separate loan application must be completed in the St.
Phillip's Financial Aid Office.
- The 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA), Institutional Student Information
Record (ISIR) and other required documents must be on file and complete
before your LSAF will be accepted for processing. All loan applicants,
including PLUS, are required to complete the
FAFSA
to apply for loans at this college.

Enrollment Requirements
All applicants must:
Ø
Be enrolled and maintain a
minimum of six (6) credit hours per term at St. Philip’s College, including
summer terms. Concurrent enrollment at another college is not included.
Ø
Must be an official SPC
degree seeking student in an
Associate Degree, Certificate or Transfer Program. Continuing Education (CE)
course are not eligible.
Ø
Must meet the Satisfactory
Academic Progress (SAP) policy at St. Philip's
College

The
Stafford Loans are disbursed in two installments. No
check may be released earlier than 10 days prior
to the first day of class.
Counseling Sessions
Loan
Counseling Sessions are now available online at
mapping-your-future.org.
Mapping Your Future's Online Student Loan Counseling allows you to fulfill
entrance and exit loan counseling requirements anytime,
anywhere--all from the convenience of a computer. The counseling sessions also
help you understand your rights and responsibilities as a student loan borrower.
Click on Student Loan Counseling
Interview (under Site Menu on left side of page) and choose Stafford Entrance to
proceed to the loan session.
FIRST-TIME BORROWERS must attend a
"Entrance-loan counseling" session.
Before St. Philip's College disburses your
Federal Stafford Loan check (subsidized or unsubsidized), regulations
require that you complete an entrance counseling session. The counseling
session provides information about how to manage your student loans, both
during and after college.
Important: Federal regulations
require a 30 day waiting period for all first-time borrowers
before any disbursement can be released.
Click
on Student Loan Counseling Interview (under Site Menu on left side of page)
and choose Stafford Exit to proceed to the loan session.
College Graduates
and Transferring Students of St. Philip's College must attend a
"exit-loan counseling" session
prior to receiving students loans at another institution.
Before you graduate or transfer to a another institution,
regulations require that you complete an exit counseling session. The
counseling session provides information about how to manage your student
loans after college.
