2008 Culture Fest

The CultureFest & Rib Cook-Off

St. Philip's College has hosted the CultureFest since 1995. The CultureFest, an official Fiesta San Antonio event, celebrates the cultural influences of St. Philip's College as one of San Antonio's most historically distinguished and ethnically diverse institutions of higher learning.

The CultureFest offers a variety of food booths with taste-tempting, traditional Fiesta fare such as shrimp and chicken kabobs, turkey legs, corn on the cob, funnels cakes, puffy tacos, fajitas, snow cones, sausages and chalupas. CultureFest features live music acts and entertainment, games, craft booths, and a barbecue rib cook-off.

The Rib Cook-Off was added to the CultureFest in 2002 and features some of the best BBQ teams San Antonio has to offer. The CultureFest Rib Cook-Off has become a tradition on our campus. Every year, on the Thursday before the Battle of Flowers Parade, we welcome one and all to celebrate with us. Admission is free and open to the public.
